Shots fired into occupied home
*Two Goldsboro men face multiple charges after shots were fired into an occupied dwelling on South George Street.
On Nov. 26 Goldsboro Police Cpl. Michael Sweet observed a black male fire a handgun into the house that was occupied by 16 people at the time.
The shots were fired from a 2003 Nissan Maxima and a vehicle chase ensued. The two suspects were apprehended on North Church Street following a brief foot chase.
Darrell Eugene Williamson Jr., 19, of Isler Street, was charged with first-degree burglary, shooting into an occupied dwelling, resist delay obstruct, $10,000 bond.
Demarcus Martell Davis, 25, West Chestnut Street was charged with first-degree burglary, shooting into and occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resist delay obstruct, driving while license revoked, flee to elude, assault by pointing a gun, probation violation, communicating threats, habitual felon. He was jailed without bond.
Shots fired into second home
*Kristie Herring, 32, Rockefeller Court, told police that someone had fired a gun into her house. Ms. Herring said she, a friend and her two children were in the house at the time.
No injuries were reported.
Man shot in leg
Montigo Hill, 19, Creech Street, told police he was drinking with two black males at a house on Rockefeller Court when one of the men man picked up a rifle and shot him in the leg.
Hill said he did not know the men's names and that the shooter did not say anything prior to shooting him.
Walking with ax
Richard Eugene Norris, 43, West New Hope Road, faces several charges after he assaulted two police officers.
Police Officer Justin Arnette saw Norris walking along North Harding Drive carrying a double-headed ax. Arnette said that Norris pointed and shook the ax at him.
Arnette called for backup. Norris had put the ax down by the town the backup arrived, but became combative when the officers approached him.
He was charged with going about armed to the terror of the public, assault on a government official and resist delay obstruct and jailed under a $10,000 bond.
Death investigated
No foul play is suspected in the death of Jessie Mae Holt Brock, 84, West Hooks River Road after she was found unresponsive and lying on her living room floor.
According to a witness, Ms. Brock had been taken to the hospital earlier in the day where she was given morphine for pain and was released. According to the police report, Ms. Brock suffered from congestive heart failure and was on several medications.
Copper theft
A thief or thieves stole electrical wiring valued at $2,500 and copper piping valued at $2,000 from the home of Charles Van Hoy, Rowe Street.
Tires stolen
Someone stole a number of tires valued at $12,186.95 from the Firestone store on North Berkeley Boulevard.
