Tickets are still available for the wine-tasting to be held Saturday at Herman Park Center to raise money for the annual Wayne County Reads project.

HealthHabit sponsors a charity wine-tasting every year. This year, the business chose the reading program as the charity to receive the proceeds.

The books chosen for the 2011 Wayne County Reads are about one man's mission to establish schools in war-torn Afghanistan. "Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace ... One School at a Time," and "Stones into Schools: Promoting Peace with Books, Not Bombs, in Afghanistan and Pakistan," by Greg Mortenson, describe his humanitarian efforts in the region.

A photography exhibit is being put together to accompany the campaign. It will feature photos taken by military personnel from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, many of whom have spent significant amounts of time in Afghanistan.

The wine-tasting will feature a silent auction of special vintages. Cost is $35 in advance and $40 at the door.

For advance tickets, call HealthHabit at 751-0300 or The Arts Council at 736-3300.
