GPD's Calloway promoted to patrol captain

After working 11 years in the Investigations Division at the Goldsboro Police Department, Sgt. Chad Calloway has been promoted to captain. The promotion returns Calloway to the Patrol Division where he began his service with the GPD in 1995 as a patrol officer.
Calloway's promotion makes him one of only six captains at the department.
Calloway's success is a product of his commitment to the department.
"I am proud that those above me are confident in my abilities," Calloway said. "I hope to be able to have a good rapport with the citizens of Goldsboro and a welcoming environment at work."
Calloway officially began his new role at the department Wednesday.
