Twenty-five charged in local drug raid

An almost 10-month-long investigation and undercover campaign has led to arrests for various drug offenses ranging from possession of a controlled substance to trafficking in various controlled substances, law enforcement officials say.

The main targets of the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force investigation were street-level drug dealers, and were mainly concentrated in Goldsboro's inner city areas.

The arrests were made during a Thursday afternoon sweep.

Other investigations led to the arrest of several larger drug suppliers in the Wayne County and Goldsboro areas.

Arrested were:

* Lester Clinton Jr., 26, two counts possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance in a jail facility, $25,000 bond.

* Boris Lamonte Phillips, 39, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell and deliver marijuana, $2,500 bond

* Phillip Michael Mason, 23, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver cocaine, $2,000 bond

* James Arthur Tyler, 24, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver marijuana, $10,000 bond

* Laportae Williams, 27, two counts possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two counts sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell and deliver marijuana, $15,000 bond

* Antonio Calvin McLean, 25, two counts possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, two counts sell and deliver marijuana, $2,500 bond

* Michael Ray Oats, 20, three counts trafficking in opiates, $500,000 bond.

Several suspects had not been located as of presstime Friday morning and are still wanted in connection for various drug offenses.

Sheriff's Office officials said the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers.

Callers could be eligible for a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

The suspects are:

* Tyrann Morocco Artis, 35, last known address Banks Avenue

* Shannyn Demetrius Ward, 21, last known address Carolina Street

* Demoris Sinclair Thompson, 19, last known address Day Circle

* Skylen Lavoy Jenkins, 19, last known address South Slocumb Street

* Jamal Broadie, 18, last known address East Walnut Street

* Eric Jermaine Lawson, 30, last known address East Chestnut Street

* Willie Darden III, 21, last known address Second Street

* Demequise Lamont Britt, 19, last known address Force Road

* Jonathan Paul Frizzelle, 30, last known address Jerusalem Church Road, Seven Springs

* Jennifer Lynn Bordeaux, 25, last known address Stevens Mills Road

* Demetrius Montay Kornegay, 26, last known address Kelly Springs Road, Mount Olive

* Shawnquel Cammorra Futrelle, 23, last known address Heather Glen Drive.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team, Wayne County Detention Center, Goldsboro Police Department's Warrants Division, and Selective Enforcement Unit, Wilson Police Department, Duplin County Sheriff's Office, Smithfield Police Department, and the Raleigh Office of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration assisted the Drug Task Force in the investigations and arrests.
