In a class designed for parents and children to create together, instructor Magen Pike taught the art of decoupage -- the art of decorating an object by gluing various items, textures and shapes to the object. The class, offered at the Arts Council of Wayne County, had partnered moms and dads with their children to create coasters. Adriana Flores-Queevedo, 6, adds string to one of her creations while taking the class with her mom, Mildred Flores-Queevedo.
