The Wayne County Planning Board will consider four subdivision plats when it meets Tuesday night. The meeting will get under way at 7 p.m. in the county administrative building on South William Street.
The plats are:
* Chris Fields, preliminary; owner/developer Earl Oliver, 26 lots at Davis Mill Road at Red Hill Road in Nahunta Township;
* Terri Gooding, final; owner/developer Terri Gooding, three lots on Black Creek Road in Nahunta Township;
* Frederick and Patricia White, final; owner/developer Frederick and Patricia White, three lots on Antioch Loop Road in Pikeville Township.
* Timberlake, final; owner/developer, J&N Developers, 20 lots on Dollard Town Road in New Hope Township.
The board also will take up a request to turn Mallard Pointe on Hinnant Road in the Buck Swamp Township into the county's first gated community.
The request was tabled by the board at its September meeting to provide County Attorney Borden Parker with time to study the request.
The Mallard Pointe subdivision Homeowners Associ-ation had asked for the gate for security. However, when the subdivision was approved, the streets were dedicated as public. Gating the community would mean the streets would no longer be public.
In other business, the board will consider two changes to the county's subdivision ordinance.
The first would requires surveyors to provide electronic versions of the plat maps that the Planning Department could be used with a computer and projector when the plats are presented to county commissioners.
A second change would give surveyors the option of providing digital copies of the plats instead of the traditional paper maps when it is submitted to the Planning Board.
