Stolen, damaged air conditioners

Police have investigated three recent reports in which air conditioning units were either damaged or stolen.

Deanglea White of Thurman Street reported the theft of a $3,000 central air conditioning and heating unit.

A two an one-half ton air conditioning/heating unit was reported stolen from property managed by Godbey Investments on Spence Avenue. Company employee Steven Carry reported the theft of the $4,000 unit. Also taken was electrical wiring valued at $300. Damages totaled $500 to a water heater and $300 to a door.

Someone stole $100 worth of copper piping from an air conditioning unit at the residence of Kimberly Lane, Sleepy Creek Drive, Dudley. Damages totaled $3,000 to the unit.

Weapon on school property

Meadow Lane Elementary School Principal Tameka Allen told police that a pocketknife had fallen out of a child's pocket while the child was playing on the school playground.

No additional information was available.

Money lost

Phil Ashley Bedford of Trey Drive, told Goldsboro police that he had lost an envelope with $2,500 in checks and an $800 money order.

Thefts

*Sabrina Williams, John Court, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a $425 laptop computer. Damages totaled $350 to a window and $65 to a rear door.

*Jamie Lakisha Grant, East Beech Street, told Goldsboro police someone had taken two flat-screen high definition televisions valued at $500. Damages totaled $100 to a door frame and $100 to two silver figurines.
