Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department are looking for two men in connection with a shooting that is being considered attempted murder.

On Aug. 26 around 7:40 p.m. Shonshi Chavez and Marcus Johnson were riding in a vehicle in the area of North William Street and Hooks River Road when a second vehicle began to follow them onto Hooks River Road.

The second vehicle was occupied by two subjects who opened fire on Chavez and Johnson's vehicle.

Johnson was struck by several projectiles and taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was then taken by helicopter to Pitt Memorial due to the extent of his injuries.

Both suspects -- Trevis Stephen Kinsey, 21, of Fussell Street, and Kelvin James Jr., 21, of Pittman Street -- are wanted for attempted murder.

Anyone with information on the two suspects are being asked to contact Investigator Doug Bethea at 580-4214 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
