Tammie Hedges of Purrrfect Friends Cat Rescue and Adoption cuddles with a kitty after being locked in a cage Friday in front of Tractor Supply on Cashwell Drive in Goldsboro. Ms. Hedges is raising money for the feline rescue and the Pit Bull Rescue of Wayne County with her "Get Me Outta Here!" lock-in. Her goal is to raise $2,000, and she will not be leaving the cage until the money is collected, even if it means sleeping in a tent over the Labor Day weekend. The donations will go toward helping homeless cats and dogs in Wayne County.
