Holiday closings released

Local, state and national government offices including the post office and banks will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
Goldsboro city offices will be closed and all sanitation services scheduled for Monday will be serviced on Wednesday instead. The City Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday.
All Wayne and Duplin county offices will be closed.
In Wayne County, the landfill and convenience sites will observe the holiday as well. The Duplin convenience sites do not operate on Mondays.
Waste Industries will operate on a normal schedule.
Duplin County commissioners' Monday meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday. Wayne County commissioners' will hold their normal first-of-the-month meeting on Tuesday.
The Wayne County Board of Education has rescheduled its meeting to Sept. 13. The Duplin County Board of Education meets on Tuesdays and will not be affected by the holiday closing.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed. The closing will not affect garbage pickup, but yard waste that is normally picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays will be pushed back one day. The town board will meet this Thursday instead of on Monday.
Eureka and Fremont town halls will be closed and their trash schedules will be pushed back a day.
Seven Springs, Walnut Creek, Pikeville, Calypso and Faison town halls will be closed, but trash schedules will not be affected.
