The Wayne County Development Alliance installed a new chairman and vice chairman last week and also welcomed two new members to its board of directors.

Keith Gunnet is the new chairman and Jim Daniels is the vice chairman.

Goldsboro Mayor Pro Tem Chuck Allen replaces Charles P. Gaylor and Grey Morgan replaces David Kornegay on the board of directors. Both Gaylor's and Kornegay's terms recently expired.

"I am thrilled about being appointed chairman of the WCDA," Gunnet said. "We are entering yet another phase of economic development as activity and interest in Wayne County is picking up. I look forward to a busy and prosperous year for Wayne County and the WCDA."

"Mr. Allen served on the former Goldsboro Committee of 100 and the former Economic Development Commission before the creation of the Wayne County Development Alliance," said Joanna Helms, WCDA president. "He is very aware of the our local economic development efforts and how they effect our communities and our county.

"We are happy to welcome Grey Morgan to our team. He's had experience in economic development in another county, so we expect him to hit the ground running."
