Goldsboro police investigate July 4 sexual assault

Goldsboro police were still investigating a sexual assault that reportedly took place the evening of July 4, a spokesman said.
Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said that a woman was reportedly assaulted by a an acquaintance at her Tanglewood Trail home sometime around 8:30 p.m.
The police report listed minor injuries, but police were not giving out further detail in the assault until the investigation is complete, Calloway said.
The Tanglewood Trail mobile home park is off of Central Heights Road.
Police did not have any other motive in the assault, according to the report.
