Flip flopping their way to health

Mot Hill, a retired Family YMCA staff member, hangs a cutout of a foot marking the starting line of the "Walk to the Beach" incentive program display at the Family Y. The program awards members miles for getting exercise at the YMCA. One hour of exercise equals five miles. Members have until Aug. 1 to get 30 days of at least 30 minutes of exercise. This is the eighth year for the event. Mrs. Hill, who helped design the display, said, "People get competitive to have more miles." Members who hit the goal get a T-shirt and a celebration meal.
