Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne received a $15,000 donation from Collins Wealth Management this week to pursue their goal of helping families in need secure affordable homes.
Business owner John Collins selected Habitat for Humanity as an avenue to make a meaningful impact in Wayne County. Collins and Collins Wealth Management team members paired together with future Habitat homeowner Crystal Williams, a single mom, to help sponsor Ms. Williams' Habitat home. The home will be constructed this summer on National Drive.
"There is a great connection that happens when individuals see a little of themselves in the lives of others," Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Dr. Ti'eshia Moore said. "Even more special is when those individuals reflect upon what helped them change their own lives and translate that into help for someone else."
The Collins Wealth Management team will present a sponsorship donation to Habitat for Humanity for the Williams family to begin construction on the home. The event will be held Wednesday, April 28 at 11 a.m. in front of the Collins Wealth Management office at 694 North Spence Ave. in Goldsboro. Partners are invited to attend.
