State Sen. Don Davis, D-Greene, is hosting an employment workshop on Wednesday at the Wayne Community College. The workshop will bring experts from Wayne Community College, Mount Olive College and the Wayne County Employment Securities Commission. The employment workshop will help participants understand where to look for jobs, how to develop an organized resume, what a cover letter should include and how to get prepared for an interview.
"My number one priority is to ensure the people of Wayne, Greene, and Pitt counties get back to work," Davis said in a release. "This event will help provide participants the tools needed to look for, apply to, and compete for jobs in the global economy. While we reach out to the business community and look for the best ways to support small businesses, I believe that we must also be proactive in the fight to reduce unemployment."
The event will be in the Walnut Building, Room 101 on the campus of Wayne Community College. Those interested or with any questions are encouraged to call 821-2777 x219.
