Man shot

A Nelson Drive man told police he was shot in the head by unknown suspects in the 1600 building of Day Circle on Sunday morning, according to a report. Elliott Bowden, 38, was conscious and able to talk with rescue workers, police said. Police documented at least $130 in damages inside the building, and investigation is continuing, according to a report. He was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital

Armed robbery

Randy Suver of Hamilton Drive said he was robbed at a motel, the Best Western at 801 U.S. 70 E., he was staying at, according to a report. Suver reported two black males he did not know entered his motel room and put a pillow case over his head, then tied his hand behind his back with black zip ties. Suver said over $400 in valuables were taken, police said.

Home shot

An unknown suspect shot a front window at a Weaver Drive residence late on Saturday, police said. Homeowner Ernestine Thompson, 58, was uninjured, police said.
