Mugging
Scott Praus of Dickinson, N.D., told Goldsboro police he was assaulted and robbed early on Sunday morning in the rear of the Holiday Inn Express on North Spence Avenue. Praus said that about five unknown black males began hitting him with their fists before taking about $300 cash, a cell phone and other personal items police said. According to the witnesses' description, the alleged attackers were between the ages of 25 and 30, police said. No further description of the men was available in the report.
Shot in arm
Brandon Turner, 16, of Devereaux Street, was found with a gunshot wound to his right arm on Devereaux Street Friday afternoon, police said. Turner did not cooperate with the investigation into the wound, which police described as "major."
