Death investigation
Police are investigating the death of Hubert Leonza Hutchins, 43, of Longleaf Avenue, who apparently died in his vehicle while parked in a parking lot at 609 Hugh Street on Saturday night, according to police reports. A neighbor, Johnny Price, said he first saw Hutchins mowing the law at 609 Hugh Street around 1 p.m. The neighbor said he checked on Hutchins around 7 p.m. and found him sitting in his vehicle and unresponsive, according to the police report. Hutchins was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
