Mayor's Committee award nominees sought

The Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilites will host its Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, October 15 at noon at the Lane Tree Golf Club at 2317 Salem Church Road.
There are four awards given each year; Disabled Employee of the Year, Employer of the Year, Commitee Member of the Year and the Mayor's Trophy. The deadline for all nominatiion is Monday, Oct. 5. People can pick up the forms at City's Community Affairs Office in the old Center Hall, at214 Center Street or call Sue Chance at 580-4359 or email her at schance@ci.goldsboro.nc.us.
Tickets for the annual event cost $12 and can be picked up the Comminity Affairs Office. The deadline for all tickets is October 9.
The speaker this year is Sherry Evan Durant of Greensboro.
