Mount Olive police officers plan reunion

Planning is under way for a reunion of former Mount Olive police officers who have served on the department since 1970.
Chief of Police Ralph Schroeder said that any officer, as well as other police department employees such as dispatchers and records clerks, are invited, too.
A time and place for the event has not been determined; that will depend on the response, he said.
The reunion is being organized by Schroeder and former officers G.W. Swinson (who was chief of police), Mike McCart and Porter Matthews.
Anyone interested is asked to call Schroeder or Police Administrative Clerk Barbara Brinson at 658-5031, Monday-Friday, during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
