WCC holding business seminars

The Business and Industry Center of Wayne Community College has announced its schedule of nine free seminars for this fall designed to prepare the business person to meet the ever increasing challenges facing small business.
The following are the offerings and their respective times:
*How To Start A Business, Thursday, 6-9 p.m.
*Business and Personal Financial Solutions, Tuesday, Sept. 15, 6-9 p.m.
*Overcoming Obstacles With Spunk, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 6-9 p.m.
*Tax Implications For Starting A Business, presented by the N.C. Department of Revenue, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24
*Develop A Business Plan That Works For You, Tuesday, Sept. 29, 6-9 p.m.
*I Didn't Sign On For This: Change And Reality, Thursday, Oct. 8, 9 a.m.-noon
*Low-Cost Marketing In A Tight Economy, Thursday, Oct. 8, 6-9 p.m.
*Basic Bookkeeping and Taxes For Small Business, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6-9 p.m.
*Introduction To Grant Writing For Non-Profit, Thursday, Nov. 19, 6-9 p.m.
Seminars will be held in Room 101 in the Walnut Building, except for the one on Nov. 19, which will meet in Room 161 of the Wayne Learning Center.

The Business and Industry Center also provides one-on-one consulting services, training designed for individual industries' needs and a resource center. Open to the public, the center is located in the Walnut Building.
