Kinston teen found dead today after accidental shooting

KINSTON -- Kinston police responded to a shooting early today on Candlewood Drive and found a 19-year-old teenager dead from a gunshot wound.
Authorities said Kevin Cox was found with a single gunshot wound to the head at 707 Candlewood shortly after 2 p.m.
Investigators determined the shooting was an accident after witnesses said Cox had been handling a .38-caliber revolver.
