Goldsboro woman graduates law school

Jackie Houser of Goldsboro graduated May 9 from Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Va. While in law school Jackie served as an editor for the law review, as the research assistant, Westlaw student representative and volunteered more than 200 hours as a CASA Volunteer to abused and neglected children. She also worked as an intern at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Roanoke, Va., and with Judge William G. Petty of the Virginia Court of Appeals. She is the daughter of Charles and Chellie Loftin of Mount Olive and the late Jack A. Houser of Bristol, Tenn., and granddaughter of the late Leon and Susie R. Cotton of Goldsboro and Clarence and Mary Houser of Bristol. After completing the North Carolina Bar exam in July, Jackie plans to practice law in eastern North Carolina.
