Melissa Hood looks at her Rosewood Middle School daughter's artwork that is on display at Berkeley Mall in Goldsboro on Monday.

More than 1,600 pieces of art representing students from kindergarten to 12th grade from the county's 32  schools are on display through Saturday evening at Berkeley Mall. The art has been on display since last Saturday and includes pencil drawings, clay sculptures, painting, photography and even crayon drawings by younger students. Wayne County Public Schools Art Director Hope Meyerhoeffer said the display showcases what students are doing in the classroom and is a tribute to the students' talents and direction and creativity of the county's art teachers.
