EWHS students among finalists in auto tech competition

The North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association has announced that Eastern Wayne High School students Matthew McKinnon and Jekevyn Peele are among four finalist teams to compete in its 2009 Automotive Technology Competition.
The students won a spot to compete in the statewide competition by scoring well on a written examination distributed by NCADA.
The annual State Automotive Technology Competition will be held on Monday, March 16, at Toyota West in Statesville.
McKinnon and Peele will compete as a team on cars and at workstations for prizes and gifts, as well as an opportunity to represent North Carolina in the National Automotive Technology Competition to be held April 14-15 in New York City.
The students' instructor is Mike Brown.
