WORKS program offers assessments

The Wayne Occupational Readiness Keys for Success (WORKS) program is offering the public more free sessions of WorkKeys(r) testing for Career Readiness Certification, an assessment that shows prospective employers that applicants possess skills they require.
Assessments include reading for information, locating information, applied mathematics, applied technology and business writing. Only the first three are offered as pencil and paper tests; all are given via computer. Up to three assessments may be completed in one testing session.
Written tests will be given held from 5-8 p.m. today, March 16, and March 30, April 27, May 11 and May 18 in Room 218 of the Wayne Learning Center (main building) at Wayne Community College. Only three may be completed in one testing session. Pre-registration is required by calling 735-5151, ext. 729.
Computer-based assessments will be held 8 a.m.-noon on March 6, 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. on March 12, April 9, April 23 and May 28 in Room 216A of the Wayne Learning Center. Pre-registration can be made by calling 735-5151, ext. 729 or 398.
Test-takers must be at least 18 years old and bring photo identification, proof of age and Social Security number, basic calculator and Number 2 pencils.
