Vandals strike

Goldsboro police investigated the vandalism Saturday of an empty house on Wilmington Avenue, the former home of the owner, Myra Brewington, who now lives in Evless, Texas. A witness said the vandalism occurred in May. The report said the vandals did $1,143 worth of damage by tearing up the plumbing lines under the house, breaking two back windows and the front and back glass doors and putting water into the oil drum.

Dog bite

Lashausa Shanae Graham told Goldsboro police Friday night she was bitten by a dog while in the 600 block of Slaughter Street. Miss Graham, who lives on North Jefferson Avenue, said the dog was brown with orange stripes and appeared to be a stray. Miss Graham was treated and released at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The dog was not found, according to the report.
