A meeting will be held at the Wayne County Public Library on Monday from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. for the public to discuss health care concerns that will be forwarded to President-elect Obama's transition team.
The meeting will take place in the Gertrude Weil Auditorium, with Arthur Herring serving as the moderator.
The Obama transition team has asked communities throughout the U.S. to hold meetings to discuss health care to provide input for the new administration, Herring said in a release announcing the meeting in Goldsboro.
The new president will use the input from the meetings to help him revamp the health care system, Herring said.
"There is no problem that we cannot solve together -- and it is out of our collective wisdom and experience that we will identify potential solutions to the many health care challenges that we face," Herring said. "The ideas and stories generated at this meeting will be reported back to the President-elect."
