Man robbed at ATM

Samuel Perkins of La Grange reported Wednesday that he was robbed by two black males while walking out of Sears on North Berkeley Boulevard. The two men drove up and asked him a question, Perkins reported. Then, one pointed a handgun at him, and told him he would shoot him if he ran. The suspects alleged forced Perkins to drive to the Wachovia bank ATM in the 600 block of North Berkeley and Perkins removed money from his account. Then they drove him back to his car at Sears, where Perkins phoned authorities, according to the report.

Police still seek robber

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office still seeks two suspects caught on video robbing Glenn's Country Store at gunpoint on Friday, Dec. 5. The suspects are described as being light skinned, between 5-feet 7-inches tall, both weighing about 160 pounds and having slender builds. They covered their faces with what appeared to be white T-shirts, police said. Both wore dark blue or black, hooded winter coats with fur trim on the hoods and bright orange lining on the jacket, police said. If you have any information about the case, call Detective Sgt. Robert Golimowski at 731-1401 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 735-2255.
