WCC Adult High School honors 22

Wayne Community College's Adult High School Program has honored 22 students for outstanding academic achievement in the first fall 2008 session.

The scholars list, for compling at least two courses in the eight-week session with an A average included Montario Brewington, Tierra Brink, Candice Lancaster and Brandon Savage, all of Goldsboro; Terry King of Dudley; Brittany Obanion, Britney Prince and Deborah Silva of Pikeville; and Letitia Loftin of LaGrange.

Honors list students, for completing at least two courses with a B average, included Tiffany Alvarado, Chris Best, HyKeem Coley, Chevelatrice Coney, Shenika Hailey, Kymlecia Mitchell, Don Stutzenburg, Tony Teasley and Bruce Wynn, all of Goldsboro; Olivia Vega of Dudley; Arturo Flores of Fremont; Mary Kalin Bennett of Princeton; and Jessica Garcia of Albertson.

The Adult High School at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro offers a tuition-free program of courses for adults 16 years or older who want to complete their high school education. It is one of five programs in the Basic Skills Department that addresses the needs of Wayne County's adult residents with below-high school education levels or who lack the basic skills necessary to function effectively in society.
