The Wayne County Motorcycles will have their annual Toy run today beginning at 2 p.m.
Motorcyclists should gather at noon outside Sears at the Berkeley Mall to begin the journey, which will end at the Country Time Tavern on Williams Street. Bikes will leave at 2.
All that is required to participate in the 20th annual event is a new toy.
Club organizers say they hope to be able to provide complete Christmases -- including a holiday meal -- for about 30 local families. The names of the families are provided by the Domestic Violence Shelter and the Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County.
In addition to the toys, the club will also hold a silent auction, which last year raised $3,000. That money will be used to provide clothes and food for the needy families.
After the run, participants can enjoy music, raffles and free food at the tavern.
