Jaycees Christmas Parade looking for entries

The Goldsboro Jaycees' Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in downtown Goldsboro. The theme of this year's parade will be "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Entries for the parade are now being accepted.

To participate in the parade, an entry form must be submitted to the Goldsboro Jaycees and received or postmarked by Saturday. Entries will be accepted after this date, however, a late fee will be charged. A $25 late fee will be charged for entries postmarked between Nov. 23 to Nov. 29. A $50 late fee will be assessed for entries postmarked between Nov. 30 to Dec. 3. Applications will not be accepted the day of the parade.

Entry forms and guidelines are available for pick-up at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce at 308 N. William Street and at the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation (DGDC) office on Walnut Street near the Courthouse.

A representative from the Jaycees also will be present at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accept applications and answer questions on: Friday, Tuesday, Nov. 25, and Wednesday, Nov. 26. Once all applications are received, entries numbers will be assigned. Participants will be e-mailed their entry number on Thursday, Dec. 4.
