Library book sale set for October 10-12

The Friends of the Wayne County Public Library will hold its Fall Book Sale Friday through Sunday in the Gertrude Weil Auditorium at the Main Library, 1001 East Ash St.

There will be a special preview Friday from 7 until 9 p.m., for members of the Friends of the Library only. Friends memberships will be sold at the door that evening ($10 for individuals and $15 for family memberships) and are available for purchase at the library at other times.

Sale hours are Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 until 5 p.m.

Thousands of good books are available for sale at very reasonable prices, and to bring home book purchases, there will be attractive tote bags for sale.

It's not too late to donate books for the sale, either, library officials say.

When donating, the Friends do not accept encyclopedias, Reader's Digest condensed books, National Geographic magazines, text books or damaged books.

Proceeds from the sale are used by the Friends to enhance Wayne County libraries through ongoing programs and initiatives including the following:
