Join park rangers, the Wayne County Cooperative Extension staff and volunteers on Saturday at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park to help clean up litter.
Big Sweep is a statewide volunteer effort to clean up litter around our waterways. Volunteers will be cleaning up around the park lake and along the Neuse River by canoe. The event lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Call Barbara Byers at 731-1527 if you would like to volunteer around the lake.
Contact Ranger Kelly Ondek at 778-6234 if you would like to clean up along the river.
The river trip is dependent on the weather and space is limited, so call to make reservations.
