Butcher knife assault
Annette Hobbs of Johnson Lane said at least six people she knows, black females aged 19, 20, 20, 20, 41, and 37, surrounded her wielding butcher knives near the bedroom window of her home on Saturday night, according to a police report. The victim reported she was struck on the arm by one of the females, causing minor injury, and a bystander pulled her back into her home, according to the report.
Group assault
Willie Ryals, 38, and Keith Wooten, 16, of Waters Circle reported that 10 black males damaged the vehicle he was driving in the 1600 block of Edgerton Street on Saturday night, police said. A total $770 in damages to a mirror, interior light and paint were reported, according to the report.
Fairview Circle attack
Allena Wynn of Fairview Circle said her boyfriend struck her in the head with a handgun on Sunday night and fired several shots in her direction while fleeing her home on Fairview, according to the police report. Anthony Lamont Lewis, 38, of Randolph Street was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Ms. Wynn declined emergency transport for a minor bruise to the left side of her face, police said.
Saturday robbery
Lisa Williams, 28, Yuri Lewis, 25, and James Davis, 43, said four black males they do not know approached them when they were visiting Alpha Arms Apartments to see a friend of Davis' on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., according to the police report. One male pointed a gun at Davis' head, another struck his gun against the windshield of the vehicle, cracking it. All subjects were armed with either 9mm or .22-caliber automatic pistols, according to the report. About $2,000 in property was stolen from the trio, according to the report. The suspects are described as a black males, one about 27 years old, 170 pounds wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and short "dread-lock"-style hair, another black male, about 5-feet 10-inches, 150 pounds aged around 21, wearing a white muscle shirt, blue jeans and red-and-black sneakers, and another man aged about 25 years old, with a medium build, medium-length "dread-lock"-style hair, brown eyes, black shirt and blue jeans, police said.
Thefts
*Warren Young of East Dorothy Place, Pikeville, reported stolen from the 500 block of Leslie Street a gray 2002 four-door Cadillac Deville worth an estimated $10,000.
*A suspect broke a drive-through window, then climbed into the Maple Street Burger King on Monday morning, then stole the security tape, according to a police report. Nothing of value was reported stolen.
*A suspect broke a glass window at the 11th Street Hardee's sometime early Monday morning, but nothing of value was reported stolen, according to the police report.
*Carlie C's IGA on Wayne Memorial Drive was victimized after someone threw a brick through a window, stole 24 cartons of cigarettes, about $500 in "various meats," and two laundry carts, according to the report.
*A Goldsboro resident reported Saturday that someone entered her home on James Street and stole a Playstation 3 video game console. Dorothy Washington told Goldsboro police officers she did not know who took the $400 system.
*Employees at the Trademart Wilco-Hess No. 1855, on New Hope Road, told Goldsboro police officers someone stole gasoline from their business. More than 15 gallons, valued at roughly $60, was stolen from the store Friday evening, they said. No description of the vehicle was available.
Vehicle damage
*Archie Moore of Palm Street said someone broke a window in his Plymouth Grand Voyager at his residence on Saturday morning, police said.
*Albert Lee Mayhue of North Claiborne Street said someone did $200 in damage to a right-side panel of his Chevrolet Caprice with a rock, police said.
*Allan Basem of Boxwood Lane said one of the tires on his Ford Explorer was slashed early Monday morning while parked in a lot in the 500 block of East Elm Street, police said.
