Break-ins reported
Goldsboro police investigated a reported first degree burglary early this morning.
Rachel Corine Tanner of North Madison Avenue told police somebody was trying to gain entry to her home. The person damaged the window sill and screen trying to get in. Police said they saw a black man about 16 years old running east, but no arrest was reported.
Goldsboro also police investigated a break-in at the home of Timothy L. Mills on East Maple Street. Items missing include a Playstation 3, a Ruger pistol and two Playstation games, valued at $880. It appeared the thief gained entry by breaking the rear door window.
