The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the theft of more than $63,000 in collector coins from a Stevens Mill Road residence, though the items appear to have been all recovered.

"We think most of them have been recovered, but the victim's doing an itemized inventory. We're still investing things," Capt. Tom Effler said.

Reported on Tuesday at about 6 p.m., the theft included several complete sets of coins stored in Dansco Albums, as well as about a collection of Eisenhower Collector Dollars with a face value of approximately $900.

The complete list of stolen items included:

*1 complete set of Morgan Dollar coins

*2 complete sets of Peace Dollar coins

*1 complete set of Barber Quarters

*1 complete set of Liberty Standing Quarters

*1 complete set of Washington Quarters dating 1932-2008

*1 complete set of Liberty Walking Half-Dollar coins

*2 complete sets of Franklin Half-Dollar coins

*$900 (face value) of Eisenhower Dollar coins

The entire collection has a face value of approximately $5,000, but a collector value of approximately $63,300.

The items were recovered early Wednesday evening.

There was not any sign of forced entry into the residence.

The sheriff's office did not release the name of the victim.

"If he's got that much in a collection, then he's probably got a lot in the house. That's why we didn't release his name," Effler said.
