Distributor robbed
A man selling speakers out of the back of his van in a North Berkeley Boulevard parking lot reportedly was robbed Tuesday afternoon by baseball bat-wielding friends of a disgruntled customer, police said. Bobby Crowson of Raleigh-based XRT Distributors said a prior customer approached with "several" people claiming he had been sold broken goods. Some suspects reportedly held baseball bats. The suspects took 11 speakers worth about $2,000 and left in a green Toyota Tacoma that headed north on Berkeley Boulevard, police said. No description of any of the suspects was provided in the report.
