Fifteen area families are being sought to host French and Spanish students and two language teachers in June or July.
Terra lingua/Terre des Langues, a unique and enriching program, allows people to experience a foreign culture and its people outside the classroom.
For their part, 15 French and Spanish high school students, 14 to 18 years old, are eager to experience American family life, if only for three weeks this summer.
Hosts need only to share their daily life and activities with them while they bring their own culture and language to your home. The foreign students will improve their English and get a better understanding of American life.
They bring their own spending money and are fully insured.
Host families will provide food and shelter. Host families need not to have children to qualify; grandparents also provide a wonderful host experience.
The dates are June 27-July 27 for the Spanish students and one teacher; and June 15- July 11 or July 7-Aug. 1 for the French students and two teachers.
