Child predator awareness workshop to be held on May 29 at Family YMCA

The Mental Health Association in Wayne County will offer a workshop about child predators for children ages 5 to 11 and their parents.

The workshop, entitled "Child Lures," will be held Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Goldsboro Family WMCA's second floor After School Room.

The presenter, Major Jovanna Wilson from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, will guide parents and children through a presentation on how to avoid child predators. She will also show how child predators lure children.

The workshop is being held in partnership with the Family Yand Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Although the workshop is free, seating is limited. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, May by calling 734-3530 or by email to mhawc@esn.net.
