Six girls to compete in Rosewood pageant

The annual Miss Rosewood High School Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Wayne Community College Moffatt Auditorium.
Six contestants will compete for the title and scholarship money. Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any contestant or contacting Rosewood High School at 705-6050.
The contestants are:
*Holly Jones ia a sophomore and the daughter of Mike Jones and Tammy Jones. She will be doing a vocal presentation of "Broken Wing."
*Meghan Kornegay is a sophomore and the daughter of William and Heather Fitch and Gary Kornegay. She will give a vocal presentation of "On the Side of Angels."
*Meredith Grantham is a junior and the daughter of Tony and Pam Grantham. She will perform a lyrical dance to "Black Roses Red."
*DeAnna Whitley is a junior and the daughter or Douglas and Dena Whitley. She will perform a jazz dance to "Don Juan."
*Olivia Neal is a senior and the daughter of Don and Joann Neal. She will play "Fur Elise" by Beethoven on the piano.
*Ashley Pedersen is a junior and the daughter of Barbara Pedersen. She will demonstrate the proper procedures for shearing a sheep.
