Wanted: Artists for Summer Concert Series

The Goldsboro Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for its Summer Concert Series in the Park.
The department is looking for bands, soloists and instrumentalists in the categories of jazz, pop, R&B and gospel.
Interested persons should submit a CD with at least three songs to Tammy Greene at the Herman Park Center no later than June 2.
Participants must be willing to perform at no charge.
The concerts will be held once a month at Herman, Berkeley, H.V. Brown and Mina Weil Parks.
The Starlight Dance Band will kick off the series on June 21 at Herman Park at 6:30 p.m. People should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. For more information, call 739-7491.
