Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Friday at 4 p.m. at 427 Hillsboro St., in Mount Olive.
This will be the fourth Habitat house built in Mount Olive, and Habitat officials say the Partners for Habitat of Mount Olive organization helped make it happen. Partners for Habitat of Mount Olive formed two years ago to reach out to qualified families in need of affordable housing.
Habitat officials say Mount Olive has proven to be successful in reaching out to the faith based community. And because of that, Habitat for Humanity International has partnered with the project to build the Hillsboro Street house by offering a $25,000.00 matching grant for funds raised by the faith based partners.
Habitat brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent and affordable houses. For information call Lee Gray at 736-9592 or visit the Website at www.habitatgoldsboro.org.
