MOUNT OLIVE -- Jacquette McNair is moving into her own home built by herself and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro Wayne County.
She and her family will dedicate the house and receive the keys at 4 p.m. Thursday at her new home located at 429 Hillsboro St., Mount Olive.
Habitat officials and volunteers will serve refreshments after the dedication ceremony, and the public is invited to come meet the new neighbors.
The house is sponsored by the Partners for Habitat of Mount Olive, which has combined over 40 area churches to raise $25,000 for the homee. This $25,000 was matched by another $25,000 from the Open Door Fund Grant from Habitat for Humanity International, which matches the local affiliate's fundraising efforts dollar-for-dollar to help bring affordable housing to rural areas.
