Applications for the fall East Carolina University bachelor's degree teacher education programs at Wayne Community College are due by Feb. 15.

The ECU Wachovia Partnership East South Central Consortium elementary education, middle grades language arts/science education and special education degree programs are open to students from Duplin, Sampson, Lenoir, Johnston, Greene and Wayne counties. Junior and senior classes can be taken at the consortium hub site at WCC and via the Internet to earn teaching degrees from ECU without having to travel to Greenville.

Admission criteria include completion of the community college course work with a minimum 2.5 grade point average, qualifying Praxis I scores or qualifying SAT/ACT scores in lieu of Praxis I, and an interview with the hub site coordinator.

For more information, contact Dr. Debbie Grady, consortium coordinator, at 735-5152, ext. 385 or e-mail at gradyde@waynecc.edu. Additional information can be found at http://www.ecu.edu/wpe.
