Beamon joins MOC staff

MOUNT OLIVE -- Heather Beaman of Mount Olive has joined Mount Olive College as an admissions representative.
A graduate of the college's evening program, she credits Mount Olive will transforming her life, as she was able to obtain her degree while working full-time.
After high school, she attended East Carolina University, majoring in dance education. She transferred to MOC, earning her bachelor's degree in business administration in December 2006.
The owner and operator of Dancin' Daze Inc. since May 2004, she recently sold the studio to a local dance teacher.
Having had the benefit of being a student at MOC will be helpful as she works to recruit others to the school, she says.
"The faculty, staff and students are so welcoming," she said. "I feel as though I am not only part of the admissions staff but a member of a huge family."
Beaman will be responsible for all aspects of the admission recruitment cycle within an assigned geographical territory. She said she hopes to help increase enrollment by "bringing a fresh outlook to the college with experience in traditional and evening college classes."
