Regional pecan growers workshop to be held February 9

On Saturday, Feb. 9, the North Carolina Pecan Growers Association will hold its 14th annual Educational Workshop in the Wayne County Extension Center.
Following the indoor session, attendees will meet at the orchard of Gary Bevell south of Goldsboro to get hands-on experience based on the classroom discusssion.
About 100 pecan growers from across the state, Virginia and South Carolina are expected to attend.
Wayne is one of the leading counties in the state in terms of numbers of growers and total pecan trees.
