Cliffs of the Neuse plans bird crafts, hiking with ranger

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Cliffs of the Neuse State Park will present the program "Christmas Crafts for the Birds," Saturday at 2 p.m.
The public can join the park ranger at the picnic area at 2 p.m. to make a bird feeder and a Christmas ornament for the birds to enjoy.
The program is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 778-6234 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Monday, Dec. 31, the Cliffs will have a "New Year's Hike with the Ranger" at 2 p.m., weather permitting.
Participants should wear good walking shoes and comfortable clothes, and meet at the park museum.
