Death investigation
Goldsboro police are investigating the death of Diedrick Woolard of Waynewoods Place, who was found with a gunshot wound to the head at a residence on Collier Street about 5:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving, Sgt. Chad Calloway said.
Accused purse
snatcher caught
City police Investigator Dwayne Dean said Tristan Lee Cobb of East Holly Street is the man who snatched a purse from Molly Romito Wednesday as she tried to enter her workplace on East Ash Street. Cobb was arrested near Linwood Avenue and East Pine streetsand charged with common law robbery and was jailed under $6,000 secured bond.
Thefts reported
*Warren Baker of South Oleander Avenue reported a $500 laptop, $600 in gold chains, $120 DVD player and $350 camera stolen from his home Tuesday afternoon, Goldsboro police said.
*Fred Teele of North Audobon Avenue reported a $170 printer, $600 laptop, $35 jewelry boxes and two gold watches worth $120 stolen from his home early Wednesday morning, police said.
*Jane Rue Adams of South Oak Forest Road reported a $150 lawn mower stolen from her home Tuesday morning.
*A Walgreen employee reported that a black man stole a containers of assorted cigarettes valued at $3,591.15 from the store Tuesday afternoon, police said.

*Matthew William Hayden, 19, Clover Ridge Drive, Dudley, assault serious bodily injury, $5,000 bond.
*Tasha Njaki Whitley, 28, Running Branch Circle, Dudley, harassing phone call, communicating threats, stalking, $1,000 bond.
*Frank Lee Montgomery, 72, Woodberry Lane, expired registration, no operator's license, $500 bond.
*Edward Franklin Sugg, 36, Weston Circle, failure to appear, $1,600 bond.
*Sherill Dean Barnes, 40, Flemming Lane, second degree trespassing, $500 bond.
*Angelia Leilani McWilliams, 17, John Oliver Center Group Home, failure to appear, $500 bond.
*Christopher Dale Mooring, 20, Bayleaf Drive, possession of malt beverage, $500 bond.

*Martina Sutton, 41, South Best Street, harassing phone calls, second degree trespassing, criminal summons.
*Alton Leeuon Fields, 29, West New Hope Road, resist public officer, $4,000 bond.
*Barbra McKinney, 44, Carver Drive, assault on handicap person, $500 bond.
*David Wayne Webb, 44, South Virginia Street, four counts of worthless check, $763 cash bond.
*Tobais Daniels, 44, South Slocumb Street, fail to stop for blue light/siren, careless and reckless operation, three counts of stop sign violation, $5,000 bond.
*Rebecca Renee Barnes, 31, Vanderbilt Circle, injury to personal property, written promise.
*Fernando Robinson, 38, North Georgia Avenue, failure to dispurse, $500 bond.
*Santonia James, 18, Fisher Drive, Rosewood, driving while license revoked, $1,000 bond.
