The Mount Olive College chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently attended a fall leadership development conference in Rocky Mount, bringing home several awards.
Sonya McCoy O'Brien, chapter adviser, also attended and presented a workshop to students and adisors on "Tech Etiquette."
Two of the more notable awards won were the non-trivia contest and the MVP Shop 'n Share Program, a program that benefits the PBL Foundation when Food Lion customers use their MVP card. A portion of the savings is used by the foundation for scholarships.
The MOC chapter received a first place tropy and $150 check for outstanding performance in the MVP program.
The non-trivia team included Bryan King of Mount Olive. Teams were quizzed on different facts related to PBL this fiscal year, with the MOC group placing first and receiving a certificate and a plaque.
